This article analyzes how the development of the internet and digital technologies have facilitated the spread of sexual crimes against children and adolescents through the production,
dissemination, and marketing of child sexual abuse material. Ease of access, anonymity, and the
absence of borders have turned this practice into a global, low-risk business. It also warns of the emergence of new forms of exploitation through artificial intelligence, which allows the creation
of deepfakes of child abuse, also violating the rights and sexual integrity of minors.
