Abstract

This paper analyzes the phenomenon of online gambling and its impact on Argentine
children, within the framework of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and General Comment
No. 25. Based on an examination of the national legal framework and the regulatory experiences
of Mercosur, a legal vacuum and a fragmented response to digital gambling addiction are evident.
The paper highlights the need for a national law that unifies criteria for prevention, control, and
child protection in the digital environment.
