Abstract

Argentina marks forty years of uninterrupted democracy after overcoming its bloodiest dictatorship. These four decades have followed a winding path; nevertheless, the validity of human rights has been consolidated through tireless struggle, which also challenged the branches of the State. Here, we propose a journey through our recent history, blending the remnants of dictatorship within an emerging democracy, the achievements of laws and rights, the evolution of criminal justice administration, and Argentine rock—an undisputed protagonist of social and political resistance.
