Abstract

This article aims to update and deepen the debate on the bases for building the maintenance obligation in terms of satisfaction of the rights of children and adolescents in a very complex socioeconomic context in which this issue related to material assistance plays a fundamental role. What are the basic principles on which maintenance due to minors is built in light of contemporary family law? What are the new conflicts, tensions and socio-legal challenges in food matters? What is the role of the State in a public issue, beyond the fact that it is intended to be
limited to a family/private issue? These are some of the central questions that are intended to be
answered in order to achieve a critical and updated study of basic child support obligation.
