DUTIES OF THE AUTHORS
General Guidelines
Authors of works related to original research must present an accurate account of the work performed, as well as objective discussions of its significance and scope. If the text is part of a research project carried out within a university or state agency, the project and the principal investigator in charge must be identified. Supplementary data must be presented accurately in the document. The work must include sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate it. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, and if they use the work or texts of others, these must be properly cited. Plagiarism, in any form, constitutes unethical and unacceptable editorial behavior.
Multiple, Redundant, and Simultaneous Publications
An author should not publish a manuscript describing essentially the same research in more than one scientific journal simultaneously without explicit disclosure. Submitting the same article to more than one journal at the same time without clearly informing the editors constitutes unethical and unacceptable editorial behavior. It is an editorial decision to publish a work under review elsewhere or to republish a work whose dissemination is of interest to the journal, with the corresponding approval of the author and/or the original publisher.
Sources
The work of other authors must always be acknowledged. Authors must cite publications that were important in determining the nature of the work. Information obtained personally, through conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, must not be used or reported without explicit written permission from those individuals. Information obtained through confidential services, such as manuscript review or job evaluations, must not be used without explicit written permission from the author involved in those services.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Individuals who participated in certain aspects of the research project should be acknowledged as collaborators. The lead author must ensure that all co-authors and collaborators are included in the article and that they agree with the final version of the manuscript submitted for evaluation and eventual publication.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the results or their interpretation. Information about the sources of financial support for the research project intended for publication must be provided.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they are obliged to promptly inform the journal editors and cooperate with them to correct the article.
