EDITORIAL PROCESS
ARTICLE REVIEW PROCESS
Each author submitting to the call will be considered for the current and next edition, unless expressly stated otherwise. They also commit not to submit the article to other publications for one year from the date of the initial submission.
During this period, the article may proceed to the peer review stage at any time within the twelve months following its submission. This progress will be notified via email or through the platform.
All submitted articles must go through the following stages before being published:
1. SUBMISSION
Article reception stage. Articles will initially be evaluated by the Editorial Board, which will determine their compliance with the publication guidelines for authors and decide on their potential progression to the next phase.
2. REVIEW
Peer review stage. Submissions will undergo a double-blind review process, in which reviewers—experts in the subject matter—will not know the identity of the author, and vice versa. At no point will the Editorial Board disclose the identities of authors, reviewers, or evaluators prior to publication.
Based on their analysis, in accordance with our evaluation criteria, reviewers will answer questions regarding the article’s quality, academic relevance, originality, and clarity, resulting in one of three possible outcomes:
- Approved
- Approved with suggestions or subject to modification
- Rejected
Based on this outcome, the Editorial Team will decide the article’s progression within the editorial process, and its decision will be final.
3. EDITORIAL
Style editing stage. Once this stage is passed, articles will be reviewed by a specialist in editing, punctuation, and style, focusing on norms, coherence and cohesion, proper formatting of references and citations according to the applied standards or their reconstruction. This will lead to a new phase of exchanges between authors and the editorial team to adapt the article to the suggestions resulting from this analysis.
4. PRODUCTION
Design and publication stage. Articles that complete all stages will be sent to a designer to create the final downloadable version, which will be available on our website.
