Style Guidelines

Submitted articles must be unpublished and original. They must not be simultaneously submitted to other publications without explicit indication. Authors are responsible for ensuring these conditions as well as respecting the ethical principles and duties established on our website.

Submissions must be made through the website after registration, attaching a photo of the ID and the signed consent form correctly completed.

Additionally, authors must ensure that the text meets the bibliographic and style requirements listed below:

  1. Respect language and format: Papers must be submitted in Spanish, in Word format, with track changes disabled and without header, footer, or page numbers.
  1. Respect length and font: Papers must not exceed 42,000 characters including spaces (including abstract and references), using Times New Roman or Georgia font, size 12, line spacing 1.5.
  1. Include personal information: On the first page, after the article title, the author's full name must appear. As the first footnote, a brief CV (no more than 400 characters including spaces) must be included, detailing institutional affiliation (country, university, faculty, research center), relationship with the institution (researcher, teacher, fellow, etc.), personal email, and ORCID identifier.
  1. Include an Abstract and Keywords: An abstract (not extracted from the article) of no more than 900 characters including spaces must be provided, clearly stating what was done, how, the results, and their significance, along with four keywords. These, along with the article title, must be translated into English.
  1. Properly include tables: If tables, charts, or graphs are included, they must be submitted in a separate file, titled and numbered, in JPG, TIFF, or PNG format with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi. In the body of the text, indicate “Insert Table No. X”. Below each image, table, chart, or graph (in Word, not in the image itself), the source must be indicated (e.g., “Source: own elaboration” or “Source: INDEC, 2021”).
  1. Include a bibliography list: All bibliographic references cited in the text must be listed alphabetically at the end of the article (see point II on “REFERENCES” guidelines).
  1. Title and subtitle formatting: The use of numbering or letters for subtitles is discouraged unless the structure's complexity requires it. The formatting should be as follows:
  • Main title: Times New Roman or Georgia 14, bold and centered.
  • First-level subtitles: Times New Roman or Georgia 12, bold, left-aligned, and separated from the next paragraph by a blank line.
  • Second-level subtitles: Times New Roman or Georgia 12, bold and italic, left-aligned, and not separated from the next paragraph.

Titles and subtitles must not end with a period or colon, and must not exceed 12 words.

  1. Follow citation, reference, and emphasis rules (APA 7th edition):

Highlighting words or phrases is discouraged. If necessary, italics should be used—never quotation marks, bold, or underlining. Avoid using uppercase letters as a visual resource.

Neologisms or terms not in Spanish should be italicized.

Superscripts for footnotes should be placed outside punctuation marks unless referring exclusively to the word they are attached to.

Footnotes should be used for clarifications, comments, or additional information, never for bibliographic references.
