This paper presents an analysis of the Federal Co-participation and Municipal Co-participation regimes in the province of Buenos Aires, in order to evaluate the current situation and the need to fully incorporate the municipalities as actors with autonomous power. In this order of ideas, a review of the existing distribution of resources is presented, and the relevance of its revision is raised, by virtue of the new functions and competencies that municipalities currently develop, and their future projection.
