This anniversary of the last Argentine constitutional reform invites us to consider the progress made and the challenges that still persist in relation to the independence and autonomy of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Nation, in its two functions: as a defense body and as a prosecutorial body. Thirty years later, we propose to focus our analysis on the Public Prosecutor’s Office in relation to the fundamental role assigned to it by the recent change in criminal procedure and the profound transformation this entails.
