Abstract

This article aims to provide an overview of the current status of the case investigating the torture of Argentine soldiers by members of the national Armed Forces during the Malvinas War. It also reviews the proceedings initiated by the La Plata Malvinas Islands Veterans Center (hereinafter CECIM) before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), in which it requests that the Argentine State be held responsible for its failure to guarantee conscripted soldiers access to justice and, consequently, to investigate the serious human rights violations reported.
