The Province of Buenos Aires exhibits distinctive features in the territorial organization of representation within Argentine federalism. Despite concentrating a significant proportion of the country's population, its legislative representation system presents certain particularities linked to the configuration of its electoral structure. This paper aims to analyze the historical background of this situation, its current expression, and its potential political and institutional implications. Using a theoretical approach based on literature regarding political representation and electoral systems, the work examines the persistence of certain asymmetries and their connection to the democratic principle of equality of the vote, along with general considerations regarding their possible treatment within the institutional sphere.
