This article analyzes the implementation of the Protocol for the Investigation and Liti gation of Femicides and other Gender-Based Crimes in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA). It explores international precedents (CEDAW and Belém do Pará) and the role of the Gen der Violence Observatory in unifying methodological criteria at the federal level. The text highlights the importance of enhanced due diligence and an intersectional approach to reveal the types of violence affecting women and the LGTBIQ+ community. Furthermore, it addresses the institutional relevance of the protocol within the framework of the transfer of criminal jurisdiction to the local judiciary, arguing that jurisdictional autonomy is an efficiency imperative to guarantee access to justice and prevent impunity in cases of violent deaths and attempted femicides.
